Last October students of 5th grade of the school Escuela 2 in Valencia visited a farm in the town of Agres (Alicante) with the aim of learning about the primary food sources and working on a healthy and balanced diet. Students debated about farms of the XXI century as well as the cooking, handling of food and the promotion of personal autonomy in these aspects. Children were delighted with the excursion and discovered rural and culinary aspects that were unknown to them. To avoid over-processed food was also another topic of the activity.
